OUR PROGRAM

At Pine Grove Weekday School, our motto is “Loving to Learn…Learning to Love”.  We see our primary goal as not only preparing our students academically for their journey through “Big School” but, also to instill in them a love for learning, a love for their fellow man, and a love for all of God’s creatures.  We do this by providing a Christian atmosphere that enables each child to develop physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.

The children are given loving care, helping them to develop a positive self-image and respect for others.  Creativity and individual expression are encouraged.  During their class time, the children are prepared for the academics of Kindergarten by enjoying planned, age-appropriate activities.  They also enjoy lessons in Movement, Music, Language, Arts, and Nature on a weekly basis.

Movement and Music classes are provided weekly for children ages 2-years and older; Spanish classes are provided weekly for children 3-years and older; and “Creature Teacher” classes are provided monthly to children 3-years and older.  In addition, the children enjoy many special activities and presentations throughout the year to enhance their preschool experience.

For more information regarding Pine Grove Weekday School, please contact Chris Nelson or Lori Genevie at 765-4694.

SCHOOL HOURS

Our school is open from 9:00am-12:00 noon, Monday - Friday.  Children may be dropped off as early as 8:50am and picked up as late as 12:15pm (unless arrangements are made for them to stay for Lunch Bunch.)  Our school calendar closely follows the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools calendar, observing most of the same holidays and professional days.

LUNCH BUNCH

Lunch Bunch is available on most days for those children who wish to participate.  Parents send a bag lunch for their child along with a small fee for the extra hour. Lunch Bunch ends at 1:00 p.m.
